It has become tradition to go swimming at the Bountiful pool followed by the Bountiful Days Carnival before viewing the Bountiful parade. This was Ridge’s first time swimming! I took him to the shallow side and soon after he was squirted by one of the older kids playing with the squirt gun. That was the end of it. He cuddled in my arms the rest of the time.
The girls loved the rides at the carnival!![]()

This was actually my first time seeing the Salt Lake City Pioneer Day parade—at least since I was too little to remember. Everyone would say how hot and crowded it is, so I never went. I figured I’ve been living in hot and crowded for the past four years, so we decided to go anyway.![]()
We even had a little taste of home during the parade. I think this was a karate school. It was weird to see a bunch of tall white guys carrying the dragon around!
I absolutely loved the Salt Lake parade! It was so much fun to see all the cute floats. I really want to go to it every year now!

I haven't been to a parade in years. Those all look like so much fun! I'm impressed with the quality of the floats. That was very surprising.
