My beautiful baby girl is turning one on April 30. At first I was really sad we would have no family in Taiwan to help us celebrate. Then Charise got engaged and decided to get married on March 21 (more on that in another post). I decided it would be close enough to Jadyn's birthday that we should throw a little party for her while we were in Utah. It was wonderful! I loved being able to celebrate with her grandparents, cousins, and some of her aunts. We had such a fun time!!
Jadyn loved her birthday dinner of barbecued marinated chicken, baked beans, frog eye salad, and fresh fruit and vegetables. Her Grandpa Rowland even gave her a taste of his pineapple-lemon-lime slush drink. Then she enjoyed her birthday cake (it was so much fun to decorate a cake again--it had been about a year since my last one) and icecream. I let her indulge since it was her birthday party, but I was still worried about all the sugar intake and thought she would be up all night with a stomach ache. She actually went right to bed and slept extremely well that night!
Jadyn's personality is showing more and more each day. She has a very cheesy, over the top, and now toothy (four on top, two on bottom) grin that she shows quite often. She loves other children and is very sweet with them. She shares her drink and food, gives hugs and kisses, and gets very excited. Jadyn is a very independent girl. She would talk and walk and play all day if she didn't need food, naps, or clean diapers. Those are about the only things for which she comes running to mommy. She is getting very good at communicating what she wants--she points and makes noises until we figure it out. We love our little girl and her cute personality!

I am so glad to see that you made it home okay. I hope this wasn't the flight that she decided to be terrible.
Her birthday looks super cute and fun! It is funny because in a lot of those pictures she looks just like a Lemon!
I forgot to tell you about Orlando when you were here. He went through the temple a few weeks ago. Daniel was his escort. Pretty cool huh.
Such a cute idea and I think it is so smart to celebrate early! So, I want to copy for Alivia's birthday and am wondering where you got the hula stuff. Mine would never compare, but at least I would have a good idea to start with!!
Cute, cute! Amazing how quick time goes! Our little guy will be 1 in two days!
I can't believe she's almost one already!!! She's so beautiful. Just like her mommy!
