Easter Surprise

This year we had an unexpected (and very welcome) guest for Easter. We found out my cute sister-in-law would be flying down for her spring break and to catch some Arizona rays. It was such a fun time seeing and hanging out with her. While she was here we caught a spring training game: Giants vs. Brewers.

Admittedly, I thought it was the Royals and Kensley thought it was the Dodgers playing the Giants until about the fifth inning. That is how into the game we were. I kept wondering why one of the crazy fans wearing a wig and fake mustache had a Brewers jersey on. Clearly it was the boys idea to go the game. Don't get me wrong, I love the sport, and I actually love going to baseball games, but not for the same reason Cody and my brother-in-law, Casey, do. They love it because they like to watch the game. I love it because I get to be outside and have time to just sit and chat with good company.

Kensley and I had a great time just chillin' in the shade drinking our lemonade while the boys sweat it out in the sun, trying to be entertained by the low-scoring game.

Cody was obviously less than excited to have his picure taken. I think this picture is funny because to me Cody's face says, "you don't take pictures at baseball games." Oh, is he wrong... hasn't he learned I take pictures anywhere and everywhere??

We finished off our not-long-enough weekend with Kensley by having Easter dinner at Cody's aunts house. As requested by Casey, I made my best attempt at an Easter cake.
