Angelfit

A few weeks ago I had a nice little accident. I was applying my foundation and the bottle slipped out of my hand. The liquid flew everywhere! All over me (staining my capris), all over the wall, all over the floor, all over all our stuff sitting on the floor because there are no cupboards in this bathroom. Spilling out half the make-up and having to buy a new bottle isn't that big of a deal. Well, unless you're in Taiwan and can't find a new bottle. AND this was my back-up that I had brought from the states.

After a few days I realized this bottle was going to last a little longer than I thought and I soon forgot about the incident. Then this past week I noticed it was getting a bit more difficult to shake out some drops of foundation. Crap! What am I going to do. Finally, I took the bottle with me to Watsons, a store that sells some make-up. I decided the best thing I could do at this point was compare the color to the other brands' colors and pick the best one. I ended up with this stuff called Angelfit by Maybelline.

When I was comparing colors in the store, I noticed the colors didn't really have pink in them; they were more yellow or white based. The one I chose is called Rosy white and appeared to have more pink in it than the others. Didn't know if that was going to work for me, but decided I would try it. I told Cody when you change make-up, it's all trial and error anyway. When I tore off the wrapper today, I noticed the description on the bottle was written in English. Cool! So I read it. It said, "Maybelline invents ANGELFIT...specially developed to suit Asian women's skin." Oh, wonderful.

I tried the foundation this morning since I probably won't be seeing anyone important today. Here is the result.

I pretty much think I look like a ghost... or I guess you could say an Angel (apparenty that is what they were going for).

I think what I'm going to have to do is go to a department store in one of these malls and get a make-over. I'm just worried it's going to cost a fortune to buy all their make-up. Any suggestions??? Anyone use an international brand that I could probably find here??

Ha Ha.... The joy of living in another country! I think you should wear it and put really red lipstick on and maybe some blue eye shadow, it would be like one of those Geishas styles! I'm totally kidding it isn't that bad! Good thing you’re coming to the states soon! We are super excited about that!

Isn't Mary Kay international? I think it might be. Or at least you could have it shipped. Or just have your mom buy your favorite stuff and ship it. That's a bummer!

Great story Nicole. I think you look great, but I do love the comment about red lipstick and blue eye shadow. What a striking combination! :) And yes, you look beautiful. Angelfit or not.
