Criminally Minded

Some of our friends threw a "How to Host a Murder" dinner the Saturday before Halloween. We were all characters from the 1920's who were suspects in the murder of "Hal" Coppone. It was quite a fun time... I love Halloween and an excuse to dress up! Check out everyone's great costumes:

These are our hosts: Melissa a.k.a. "Silky M. Adam," owner of an elegant Chicago club, and Steve a.k.a. "S. Treighton Harrow," U.S. District Attorney

Celeste a.k.a. "Molly M. Awbsterr," '20s Flapper, and Dave a.k.a. "Billy ('The Kid') Thrower," star pitcher for a baseball team

Shannon a.k.a. "Malissa F. Orrthot ('Scoop')," newspaper reporter, and Sam a.k.a. "Ernie ('Bet a Million') G. Ambler," flamboyant millionaire gambler

Nicole a.k.a. "Anna Maria Carlotta Sassine ('Torchy')," lounge singer and Cody a.k.a. "Eddie ('Socks') R. Gyle," smooth, fashionable golfer (by the way, check out my pregnant belly--you can totally see it in the dress I'm wearing)

This game was a crack up to try to stay in character and try to figure out the murder mystery. Only one person guessed the true murderer out of all the suspects... yes, that would be my dear husband. I don't know if I should be proud or worried... :)

I also just want to give a big thanks to the Banks for letting me spend Halloween with them. Cody was out of town for some job interviews, so they made sure I wasn't alone on Halloween and still got to dress up and have some Halloween treats. :) I just wore my same '20s Lounge Singer costume, but Shannon (who is 7 1/2 months pregnant) dressed up as an egg. How funny is that and how cute does she look! We got some good stares when we went to Fry's to find pumpkins to carve. It was great!

Nicole, I thought you were crazy, but you were so right! You can see the very faintest shadow of a baby bump in that dress! Awesome! That's so exciting. I like how you're so cute and dainty, and my 8 month preggo belly is taking over the picutre. You need a panoramic lens to get my whole tummy in there. You look so cute. That was such a fun party. And thanks for hanging out with us on Halloween...sorry it was so lame!!!
