Jade was out of school for a week and a half for Chinese New Year. One of the days just so happened to be Valentine’s Day. It was perfect because some of her friends have all day school, so it is hard to find a time to have play dates together. We had to take advantage of all the kids off school for this special day!
We started out by making sugar cookies.
Then our friends arrived for a special themed lunch.
I thought it was pretty simple, but one of my friends hasn’t lived in Hong Kong very long and started to tear up. She said, “it’s beautiful; it’s like America!” ![]()
After lunch we played several Valentine’s games (thanks to my sis for emailing them to me!). I think one of the favorites was where a child tries to get the other kids to smile, but they have to try really hard not to. They weren’t very good at not smiling. It was adorable.
After games, we decorated (and ate) sugar cookies.
The kids played and had fun together all afternoon. Then when it was time to go, Jade handed out her and Ridge's Valentines for their friends. A simple, but very fun party!
