Worth It.

Remember a couple years ago how Cody and I went to a really awkward work dinner?  They actually have this dinner every year.  We didn’t go last year because Ridge had just been born and maybe the memory of the dinner the year before didn’t make it so appealing.  Now that Cody has been working in the Hong Kong office for over two years, he wanted to go again.  I was a little reluctant, but he reassured me it wouldn’t be as bad because he would actually know people this time and the awkward people at our table last time had since left the company.  Okay, a chance to dress up and have a night out with the hubby, eating fancy food.  I’m sold.

I thought this picture was really funny because it shows how crowded our entry way is.  I guess that’s what happens when a place is built without closets!  DSC03632

Okay, redo.  Without all the mess stuff in the background.DSC03633

Waiting for a taxi, riding in the taxi. Yep. We decided to class it up this year and take a taxi instead of the public bus. Big spenders. :)

The Jardine’s Executive dinner is always very well done—decorations, props, actors… etc.  This event had about 700 people and was very well organized and executed.  The theme this year was magic, complete with wizards and witches.

Even Harry Potter was there to greet us and available for a photo op.DSC03637

The tables and food were extremely fancy—maybe the food a bit too fancy for our tastes, but this foodie still enjoyed the experience.

Entertainment included an illusionist and magician, as well as live band for dancing at the end.  Watching the drunk old white Brits attempt the white man shuffle helped us decide to bow out of joining them.

Cody was right; this year was a lot more fun.  More than anything, I loved having a night out with my man!

So fun! I love the magicians (and HP, of course)! Also, I blew up the picture of the food and couldn't tell what any of it even was. What did they feed you? I love love love your hair. It's so cute. Long and bouncy. You'll have to fill me in on how you get those curls!

David and I watched the video of Ridge walking at least 5 times. David loved his "baton" and said "Ridge thinks he's in a parade!" :) Fun posts. I love seeing pictures of you.
