We went to Ridge’s two month check up on Friday. He was actually 2 months and 9 days old to be exact. These were his stats:
Length = 63 cm (24.8 inches); in percentile 90 (Chinese charts: off the charts)
Weight = 6.66 kg (14.68 pounds); between percentile 90 and 95 (Chinese charts: 97)
Head Circumference = 41.7 cm (16.42 inches); between percentile 75 and 90 (Chinese charts: 95 and 97)
Needless to say, he is a big boy. He is already starting to grow out of some three month clothes and wearing some six month ones. Just check out his girth!
When Ridge gets upset, he sometimes does a little pouty face before he really lets it loose and starts wailing. It’s so sad, but so cute at the same time. These pics kinda give you an idea of what it looks like.
Ridge’s first smile was on December 1st and now he uses that smile quite frequently. He has actually started to laugh a little bit in the past few weeks too. It is kind of a funny laugh; it almost sounds like gasping for air. He loves it when we play with his feet, tickle his skin, blow on his belly (I believe the scientific name is zerbert), and kiss him in the space between the jaw bone and neck. The latter two are the ones most likely to get a laugh. Sometimes he will laugh when we tickle his ribs or armpits, but he usually just grunts. When he is awake and in a good mood, Ridge also likes to lay on his back and bat at his toys.
I’ve been trying to get a good video of all these things for the past couple weeks. Jade loves Ridge—a little too much maybe—and kind of monopolizes him when I try to video. 
Finally, one day while she was playing at a friend’s house, I was able to get a nice, peaceful video. No laugh yet—that one’s been hard to capture—but we did get smiles and playing.

On Sunday while Cody and I were getting ready for church, I heard Jade in with Ridge after he woke up. I peeked in to find this sweet moment.
Jade had taken it upon herself to get Ridge’s bear for him and climb in his crib to read him stories. So far they love each other. She adores him and snuggles and kisses him any chance she gets. He adores her back and watches and smiles at her when he gets her attention. I’m enjoying it for the moment, because I know the constant peace and sweetness between them won’t last forever! I sure hope they will always have a close relationship overall though!

He's almost 15 lbs?! Good grief woman! Scarlett has milk envy. I had to have her look away.
Ridge is a handsome little guy, I can't wait to meet him!!!
He is so sweet. Just a doll! And serious almost fifteen pounds!!!! He is so big and I love what a great big sister he has!
In Ridge's defense, I think I would have been making that same face if my foot was being tapped against my head too ;) It is so sweet how much Jadyn loves her baby brother. You'd much rather have that than the other extreme. His little squeals are too cute!
