For the past month I kept thinking Jadyn was already one. Partly because we celebrated early and partly because she acted like it. Thursday, April 30 was her actual birthday. We had the most wonderful evening with her.
After dinner, Cody took her in the bedroom to play. I put away all her old toys and set out all her birthday presents.

When she came walking in, she saw her grocery cart and got REALLY excited! She was finally reunited with her old friend! She immediately ran over to her pile of presents and started playing with the cart.

We let her take her time playing with each new toy and let her unwrap presents at her own pace. She caught onto the unwrapping very quickly. She would rip off a piece of paper, then hand it to her daddy, then rip off another, and so forth. It was so much fun to watch. Jadyn LOVED every single present we gave her. I love knowing a person so well that we can pick out several presents and end up with her loving all of them (we won't mention the fact that she is one and is entertained by just about anything). She especially loved her chair, cart, books, and balls.
After presents and play time, we stripped Jade down to get her ready for a chocolaty mess. I had to make something quick, and Cody loves chocolate, so I opted for chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese filling and butter chocolate frosting. Jadyn loved it!

We had such a great night with our little girl. I just felt so full of joy and so fulfilled at the end of the night. I love our little Jade so much!!!
