Spring Break with the Cunninghams

During Spring Break we had the privilege of having Cody’s Aunt, Uncle, and two cousins come to visit us!

Uncle Bob, Aunt Shelley, Cousin Chareese, and Cousin Richard.  Aren’t they a good looking group?!DSC_0400_2
We had lots of fun taking them around Hong Kong and showing them the spectacular place we live.

We even brought them to our place to show them our very humble abode.DSC_0142
We could not have asked for better or more gracious traveling companions.  The Cunninghams were so much fun to trek around with!!  Even the kids fell in love with them.  They were all so helpful and sweet with Ridge and Jade.  It made for a very enjoyable week.

One of the days the Cunninghams were here, we took the short boat ride to Macau.  DSC_0316_2
I was thrilled to find they enjoyed the egg tarts as much as I do!  Yum!!DSC_0348_2
On the downside, it was really rainy that day, so seeing the sites and dragging the kids around was a little difficult.

We made the most of it by having a nice, long Portuguese lunch and viewing the museum we had never been to.  DSC_0346_2
I think it is safe to say the museum was Richard’s least favorite part of the trip.  He was bored from the minute we stepped into it…until he found a lovely Chinese lady to snuggle up to.  DSC_0380_2
One thing I learned about Aunt Shelley, and actually Richard too, is they love to shop! But so do I, so we had a blast!! One of their favorite places was the Jade market. So much so, we went there twice. DSC_0253_2

This little lady was so happy Aunt Shelley walked into her life that day. :) She even told us it was her lucky day, it was going to be a good day, etc. DSC_0264_2

Jade was really sad when it was time for the Cunninghams to head home and she had to say goodbye.  She was Aunt Shelley’s little pal and insisted on holding her hand, sitting by her, etc. the entire time they were here.  Later when we were making her birthday invite list, in addition to her friends and grandmas, Jade insisted on sending an invitation to Aunt Shelley.  She even cut one out, stuck it in an envelope, and wrote “Aunt Shelley” on it for me to mail off.  DSC_0189_2
We’re so glad Uncle Bob, Aunt Shelley, Chareese, and Richard made the time to come see us while we are living in Hong Kong.  We had such a great time catching up with them and truly loved every minute!!
