The Second 4th Birthday

On Jade’s birthday we started the day by taking strawberry (per Jade’s request) cupcakes to her school.  I used a different recipe and luckily they tasted a lot better than the cake pops at her party. 

When we arrived the class was having circle time, which included a cute little song and poster for Jade’s birthday.

Then the children washed up and sat down to have the cupcakes.

Apparently because it was Jade’s birthday, she was given a second cupcake and got to choose the book for story time...  so she continued to stuff her face. It was kinda funny.

 

Ridge fell right to sleep on the bus ride home from school.  I guess watching all those high energy children wore him right out! He definitely wasn't the only one.

Jade had requested green butterfly pasta (Chicken Pesto Farfalle), strawberries, and apple juice for her birthday dinner.  So that's what we had!

 

After dinner Jade opened her present from us.  It is always so fun to see how excited she gets.  She called it her big birthday and her second 4 year old birthday since it was a big present and she’d already had her party and received smaller presents from her friends.
