So This Is Love

One day Jade was playing with Ridge, and as if in deep thought she told me, “Mommy, when I grow bigger and Ridge grows bigger, I want to marry Ridge.” At first I thought about explaining we don’t marry our brothers, but instead I simply asked, “You want to marry Ridge? Why do you want to marry Ridge?” She responded with a sweet and enthusiastic, “Because he is the best brother ever! I love him!”

It constantly amazes me how much these two love each other. Jade never seems bothered by Ridge pulling her hair or grabbing her face, and Ridge laughs and smiles when Jade gets in his face with all her loud and silly antics.

Last Sunday morning the apartment got really quiet as Cody and I were getting ready for church. I came out to inspect things and this is what I found:

Jade realized Ridge was giving them away, so she quickly rectified that.

I stood there watching them for a minute and then decided to grab the camera.

They seem to figure out ways to have fun together despite their age difference!

 

In other news, Ridge rolled over from his back to stomach on March 11th.  Now I’m not surprised when I go in to get him after sleep and I find him like this:

Then today he started rolling over in a series!  Very exciting stuff, eh?!!
