I went to the Allied office about a week ago to ask about it (and throw my weight around if needed) and they told me it would be delivered Wednesday morning--December 10th. I was glad, but still concerned. Considering the way the shipment had been handled thus far, I kind of had the attitude, "I'll believe it when I see it." Still trying to have faith, I continued to plan on it. Then I received a phone call yesterday. Immediately I thought the delivery date was delayed. Nope, the gentleman called to ask if they could deliver a day early. Ummm... let me think about that... YES!
I thought they would come drop off our possessions and we would be in a mess of boxes with a week and a half to get unpacked to turn around and pack suitcases. Not the case. They actually unpacked everything for us! Wow it was a huge help. We still need to get organized and put stuff away, but a lot of the work is already done.

Cody made the comment, "it is so weird to have stuff again. We have been living for so long without it, I feel like we don't need it anymore." I think my mouth dropped to the floor. Is he being serious??? I kept thinking about that and now I realize why he feels that way: he has not been the one doing the cooking. Sure we could live without it, but life is so much more convenient with it. I felt my heart jump into my throat because of excitement when one of the men pulled out all my spices. Oh, to think, we can have flavorful food again. A few other noteworthy items: forks (I guess I can throw the plastic ware I had been washing and reusing away), Christmas music, winter coats, and best of all--clothes that fit my baby (Jadyn no longer has to wear pants as capris and sweaters as three-quarter-length shirts... AND I don't have to be lectured by the Chinese ladies in the grocery stores for not dressing my baby warm enough)!
Before the shipment, after the shipment (Jade likes to make these funny faces when I'm taking her picture; she squints and pulls a cheesy grin).

I'm just so excited it came before we left for the frozen tundra. Thank you to all who kept us in your prayers! I know my prayers were answered. I'll leave you with this little video of Jadyn's new favorite thing to do with daddy.

Cody,
Just to let you know my Birthday is the 6th of September. And, I do accept cash as a suitable gift. I also accept precious metals, guns and ammo (the real thing, not the magazine)and Cigarettes. And Cody, I think you are a brilliant blog poster. (Although, admitidly, I am posting this comment on the wrong post, I figured it would be more likely to be read on the latest post than on the one it actually refers to.)
PS Chinglish rules.
PPS Not remembering birthdays without consequence is a man rule, (mine & your wife's excluded).
PPSS Congratulations on getting your stuff.
Wow...I can't believe you went without all your stuff!! Not too fun. Have a great Christmas you guys. Love your guts!
Yay about your stuff!! And Jaden is so dang cute. That is the cutest thing ever!!
Finally!!! What a huge relief, that should help you to feel more at home. Jadyn's little clip reminds me of Sesame Street's Grover doing "Near...and Far!" So cute!
